JLFC Goalkeeper Academy was founded to provide specialized goalkeeper training that develops not only elite goalkeeping skills, but also the character, discipline, and mentality required to succeed in football and in life.

The academy is led by Jean-Luc, a goalkeeper who has competed at the highest youth levels both internationally and professionally. Jean-Luc represented the Puerto Rico National Team and played in Spain with Granada CF, competing in the División de Honor, one of the most competitive youth leagues in Europe. Training and competing in Spain allowed him to experience the intensity, tactical discipline, and technical standards required at the professional level.

These experiences shaped the philosophy behind JLFC Goalkeeper Academy. The goal is to bring the same level of professional training, attention to detail, and competitive mentality used in elite European academies to goalkeepers in Puerto Rico.

At JLFC, every session focuses on developing the complete goalkeeper:

• Technical development – footwork, handling, positioning, shot-stopping, and distribution
• Game intelligence – decision making, reading the game, communication with defenders
• Physical development – agility, explosiveness, and reaction speed
• Mental strength – confidence, focus, and resilience under pressure

But beyond performance on the field, the academy also emphasizes character development. Goalkeepers must be leaders, disciplined athletes, and resilient competitors. JLFC training encourages players to develop responsibility, work ethic, and confidence that extend far beyond football.
